STEMISPHERE PRIVACY POLICY

We are committed to protecting the privacy of Personal Information you may provide on the STEMisphere Website – STEMisphere.CarnegieScienceCenter.org (“Site”).  Because STEMisphere is a community resource provided by the Carnegie Science Center, one of the four museums affiliated with the Carnegie Institute d/b/a Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, the Privacy Policy of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh governs your use of this Site and you should carefully review that Privacy Policy.  In addition, because certain information you may provide relates specifically to your use of the STEMisphere Site, the items discussed below also govern your use of this Site.

The Information STEMisphere Collects
Information you provide.

STEMisphere collects personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that you voluntarily provide on-line when you use the Site.  “Personal Information” is any information that identifies you personally, either alone or in combination with other information available to us.  Examples of “Personal Information” include your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, or age.  Examples of when you may voluntarily provide such Personal Information to us include on-line forms you submit to become a Supporting Partner and/or a Resource Partner and e-mails you send to us. 

Becoming A Resource Partner or Supporting Partner
If you are considering becoming a Resource Partner and/or Supporting Partner, we may ask you to provide certain Personal Information so we can acknowledge and process your request.  Depending on the request, this information may include your name, your company or organization name, billing and mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address and credit card information.  We may post and/or otherwise distribute and/or display your name, organization or company affiliation, and/or contact information in connection with any resource or other Submission you submit to us that STEMisphere chooses to post on the Site. Credit card information will be stored temporarily on a secure server and will be used only as needed to process the applicable transaction.  We will retain your Personal Information in order to provide better service.

Registering and Using the Carnegie STEM Excellence Pathway Section of the Site
Schools and school districts that choose to become Registered Users on the Carnegie STEM Excellence Pathway section of the Site will be required to submit certain information so we can create your account, including the name of the school or school district and the name and e-mail address of the primary contact person. Once an account is created, such Users will supply additional information as part of Pathway’s self-assessment tools. Information collected from Registered Users may be shared with others in aggregate form only  

Links To Other Websites
The Site may include links to websites, products or services that STEMisphere does not own or operate and which are not related to the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh or its affiliates (“Third Party Sites”). Once you leave the Site, STEMisphere’s Privacy Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of these Third-Party Sites before providing Personal Information to those sites.

Changes To Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Such changes may arise in response to changes in the law, policy or other factors. These changes become effective immediately upon posting on the Site. We encourage you to periodically visit this page to review our most current policy.
